Downtown Dubai complex is the most ambitious project, which includes the highest residential tower of the world The Burj Khalifa (828 meters), other residential, office, retail spaces, hotels, shopping malls, artificial reservoirs and parks. The project was first time presented in March 2004 at an investment MIPIM forum in Cannes, by the EMAAR developer-company.

The total area of the project – 2’023 sq. kilometers, cost – 8.1 billion dollars.

In middle of 2004 was laid the foundation of Burj Khalifa (that time called Burj Dubai). This tower was opened in January of 2010 and become the tallest building in the world. Burj Khalifa is an imposing building, surrounded by a newly erected residential and commercial buildings.

The project cost 2.7 billion US dollars. All real estate was sold less than in 9 hours. But real estate in apartment buildings located nearby is still available.
