Creek Bay

Creek bay is linked with the whole history of Dubai. Bay is a natural arm of the sea that separates the city into two parts. Trading traditions of the city can be seen on the shores of the bay.
It is interesting to observe the loading and unloading bustle of dhows, continue to ply the ancient trade routes to East Africa and India. Especially interesting picture of the bay you can see from small taxi boats plying the water from Bur Dubai pier to Deira markets.
You can also negotiate with the boatmen the cost of visit to historical monuments in the deep of the bay as well as acquaintance with modern attractions of Dubai.
After the reconstruction, along the shores of the Creek in Deira, stretches embankment, ending close to the Al Maktoum bridge near the harbor. Between Al Maktoum and Al Garhoud bridges, there is a Creek Side Park full of green grass, bushes and trees.
During the autumn birds migration, the bay declared sanctuary is filled with many species of migratory birds. Sometimes up to 27,000 individuals. The Creek bay became the permanent home for the big flamingo.
