Knowledge of pearling culture can be found in the Diving Village, located on the Shindaga peninsula, near the Heritage Village.

The entrance to the Diving Village located same as in Heritage Village: through the gate from the waterfront Shindaga. Two anchors and Dhow fisher boat adorn the gate. On the territory of the village built a restaurant. Right from the entrance you can see the boat used in the pearling. In the right corner of the yard you can see different boats: from transport boat – Abra to small fishing boat – Baggara.

Along with wattled fish tanks, there are many big made of concrete perforated cubes. There are a hundred of fish shelters in these cubes at the bottom of the sea, creating an artificial reef. Its position in the sea is defined by means of an electronic beacon.

Also there are many salt lumps extracted from sea water. Model of a beautiful ship called “battil” will tell you about very long trips of pearl divers.

Visit is free of charge and available daily from 8.00 to 22.00. On Fridays from 8.00 to 11.00 and from 16.00 to 22.00.
