Heritage Village and Diving Village — was built in 1997 and located on the Shindaga peninsula, near the famous Shaikh Saeed al Makhtoum house. You can get to the village through the gate from the waterfront Shindaga, passing along the street Halidge road.
Beyond the walls of this fortified settlement there are houses made in a traditional Arabian style. There is a bedouin summer house made of date palm as well as “gurf” – the building of the desert and inland areas of Dubai, consisted of two floors. Also, there is a small square, with three sides surrounded by a covered gallery of souvenir shops. Don’t forget to bargain buying a souvenir!
Opposite the square located a small souk. For one AED you can buy baked cakes, which will be prepared in your presence. For a small fee your hands of feet can be patterned with dilute henna by local women. In the shops located in the souk, working blacksmiths, artisans engaged in weaving mats, etc.
In the evening, on the square located in the heart of the village, you can see traditional dances accompanied by drums and tambourines. Two lines of men in traditional white clothes with thin canes in their hands, performing an ancient dance Aiello.
The village has its own museum, which presents various jewelry, bronze weapons and vessels related to the 2500-500 BC. Already at that time Dubai was a trading center that had relationships with India, Mesopotamia, Bahrain and Iran.

Visiting of the village is free of charge and available daily from 8.00 am to 22.00. On Fridays from 8.00 to 11.00 and from 16.00 to 22.00.
