Beeing a desert city and a biggest Middle-East travel center Dubai is full with parks for every taste. Each park has its own features. Some of them offer breathtaking attractions, some – beautiful beaches and lagoons of the Persian Gulf. Here is a list of the most popular parks:

Al Mamzar Beach Park

Situated in Deira (north of Al Hamriya Port in Al Mumzar Residential Area) Al Mamzar Park occupies 106 hectares with barbecue sites, about 100 private chalets, swimming pool, food kiosks, beach and safe lagoon, large green area, a scenic train and many play areas for children. The uniqueness of this park is that it’s located on the golden sand beach, as well as the recreational areas existing in this exquisite park. In 1994 The Mumzar Park was inaugurated in a joyful atmosphere during the celebrations of the Arab Cities Organization conference.

Creekside Park

Located in Bur Dubai (between Al Maktoum and Al Gharoud Bridge) Creekside Park designed in a modern style, extends along the western coast of Dubai Creek and occupies 96 hectares. There are a lot of facilities for adults and children, a golf course, picnic places and games for children. The main feature of the park is an 5000 people amphitheater.

Children’s City

Located in Bur Dubai (entrance from Creekside Park Gate No.1) Children’s City is a most popular Creekside Park attraction for children between ages of 5 and 15. Main idea of this park is to develop children curiosity through play (space exploration, nature, global culture and the human body). Also here is 100 seats planetarium. There are many gift shops and cafes. 28 touch screens, 121 computers, 220 exhibits and more. Also there is first aid room and player room.

Jumeirah Beach Park

Located in Bur Dubai (on Jumeirah Beach Road) Jumeirah Beach Park opened in 1989 on 13 hectares was the first beach park in Jumeirah residential area with a view to the Arabian Gulf. It is an ideal for a family picnic. A lot of tourists visit it for swimming and sunbathing. There are barbecue areas, picnic tables, play areas for children, food kiosks, volleyball area, swimming areas with with round-the-clock lifeguard service.

Mushrif Park

Located in Deira (on Al Awir road, past the Dubai International Airport) Mushrif Park is a natural ghaf forest set in 124 hectares containing an extensive road system and leisure facilities. In this park tourists can enjoy swimming pools, beautiful fountains and lakes as well as merry-go-round, miniature train. Also there is camel and pony ride service. A special feature of this park is the International Garden Area exhibiting 13 miniature houses from different countries of the world. Safa Park

Located in Bur Dubai (Between the 2nd interchange on Shk. Zayed and Al Wasl Road) Safa Park is a 64 hectare urban park created in 1975 on the outskirts of Dubai. Today Safa Park is almost in the center of the Dubai, not far from the famous Burj Khalifa Tower. There are three lakes, a little forest and a hill to see panoramic views of the park. For children there is a Mini-City with small scale roads, signs and traffic lights.

Ski Dubai

Located in the Mall of the Emirates (Shk Zayed Rd, 4th Interchange) Ski Dubai is an indoor ski slope with 22,500 square meters of ski area using 6000 tons of snow. 85-meter high mountain with 5 slopes, including a 400-meter-long run and a 90-meter-long quarter pipe for snowboarders will satisfy every taste.

Wild Wadi Water Park

Located in Bur Dubai (on Jumeira Beach Road, beside the Jumeirah Beach Hotel) Wild Wadi Water Park is themed around the tale of Juha, a popular character from Arabian folklore. Tourists can enjoy about 30 attractions and rides located on 12 acres of land. 18 m waterfall goes off every ten minutes. Here you can also visit gift shops, restaurants and snack stands.
